Bug Bite Information
The best way of dealing with bugs is to prevent them from biting or stinging you. This is usually easier said than done and without applying certain chemicals to your exposed body parts they will bite you!

The best insect repellent is DEET which can have serious side effects so caution is advised especially when applied to children below the age of twelve. There are all natural insect repellents on the market today which utilize essential oils as the active ingredients and are measured in the time that the insects stay away.

Once they bite though either an allergic reaction will occur or nothing will happen except maybe a little bit of pain at the site of the bite. When an allergic reaction occurs this is the result of body's histamine reaction which can cause serious problems if the person is extremely sensitive to bug bites.

An oral or topical medication may be needed to reduce the symptoms of the bite which can include severe itching, rashes, inflammation and swelling.
